Hog Hollow Country Lodge is set in the heart of the Crags, Plettenberg Bay. Built on a private nature reserve on the edge of an indigenous forest, it has the most spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. Sixteen unique African-styled suites situated in the lush gardens around the main house, offer private wooden decks, hammocks, king sized beds & most have cosy fireplaces.
Suite
Situated in the lush gardens surrounding the main lodge. Double or twin bedded, with en-suite bathrooms (separate bath & showers) lounge area and a private wooden deck. A cosy fireplace, mini-bar, tea & coffee station, delicious cookies and popcorn. Ceiling fan, and wall heaters.
Loft Suite
The Loft Suites are double storey accommodation and are situated in the lush gardens surrounding the main lodge. Double or twin bedded, with en-suite bathrooms (separate bath & showers) lounge area and a private wooden decks on the upper and lower levels. The Loft suites are used for families travelling and can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children aged 12 and under. Parents are accommodated upstairs in the master bedroom (with en-suite bathroom), while the children are accommodated downstairs in the lounge area. In the evening the double sleeper couch and an ottoman, which is slightly shorter than a single bed, but wider, are made up for the children. No fireplaces in these suites as an additional safety measure.
The Villa
The Villa at Hog Hollow Country Lodge is situated 400m from the main lodge on our private nature reserve, with breathtaking views over the indigenous Tsitsikamma Forest and Mountains. Suitable for a family of 6 or 3 couples travelling together. The Villa is set on the steep forest verge, amidst a lush indigenous garden. An ideal house for families travelling through the Garden Route: The master bedroom downstairs is a retreat for mum and dad, while the two rooms upstairs adjoin the games room (complete with a pool table and table tennis & family board games) providing an excellent space for the children. There is a swimming pool, barbeque facilities and a central eating area, all in all creating a private holiday haven.
Forest Villa
A Four-bedroomed mini-lodge 400 metres from the Lodge at Hog Hollow and next door to the three bedroomed villa. So while it’s completely private, it’s close to the rest of the lodge. Forest Lodge is ideal for small groups travelling and for families. Forest Lodge has four spacious bedrooms, with equally spacious en-suite bathrooms (separate bath and shower). The rooms all have glorious views over the Tsitsikamma Mountains and indigenous forest. Two bedrooms are situated upstairs and two bedrooms are downstairs. There is an open plan lounge area, with a full DstV bouquet and fireplace downstairs for those cooler evenings and books to read & games to play. A fully stocked honesty bar, including an excellent selection of local wines. Outside there is a wooden deck overlooking the mountains and forest. There is a 15x3m swimming pool with loungers and private sitting areas to enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings.
